Twelve Slovak artists traveled to Oman for the Khareef Dhofar festival. The festival celebrates the monsoon season, when nature comes alive in the south of the country and people gather in parks and squares for culture and fun.

The hour-long show we took to Oman is a mix of contemporary circus, artistry, dance, and acting. It’s called The Journey to Argolla Wonderland, and it’s about a little girl searching for lost keys in a strange, mysterious land.

Along the way, she meets magical creatures and sees amazing things like acrobatics, dance, and acting. In the end, she finds out that the magical land – a world of our creativity and imagination – is inside each of us. This summer, Argolla performed 28 successful shows in Oman.

The Journey to Argolla Wonderland is name of stage performance that combines elements of acrobatics, fire, UV light effects, dance and theatre play together in a one theatre show.

The Show will follow a story of a little girl searching for an unknown mysterious country. On her way, she will meet fairy creatures and see miracles, to finally discover that in the end Argolla is a wonderland inside each one of us – world of our creativity and fantasy.

Mysterious journey wil start on Friday, 19th January 2018 at QNCC Al Mayassa Theatre in Qatar/Doha.

High acrobatics on silk scarves, the romantic duo of acrobats with Cyr Wheel tools, the fire show, the light show and juggling with the cube and finally the astounding water show in a transparent pool, which we placed directly on the stage, so that the acrobat could christen the new model of Kia Rio during her performance.

Cyr wheel is a name for acrobatic device and also acrobatic discipline that has recently become very popular around the world. The Cyr Wheel act has found its place in shows of the world’s foremost circuses. Argolla artists were the first to start practicing this discipline in Slovakia.

The judges were smitten with Miska’s and Matus’ audition. They were one step away from getting to finals. Our artists got four yeses and made it through audition round.

The Argolla team, consisting of twenty acrobats, dancers, actors and technicians, has accepted an invitation  from Beijing Denon Acoustic Music Culture Communication. Argolla is departing for Bejing on 3rd of August. The group is going to tour eight cities and give twenty performances.

“China is a nursery of the world’s best circus artists. This form of art has a long tradition there. Therefore we feel honoured, that it is our performance that has been chosen by the Beijing Cultural Institute.” said the 5th Element’s director Silvia Polackova.

The 5th Element is an hour-and-half-long performance, that brings a new dimension to modern circus arts. Breathtaking acrobatic acts, dancing acts, brilliant singing and acting, unique scenes and original costumes, all combined with music composed by multi-instrumentalist Maok. The premiere of the ensemble was held at World Art Circus Festival in Gwangyang, South Korea. More than 60 000 people saw the show during 2 weeks. The Slovak audience had the chance to see the performance in a sold-out NTC hall in January 2013.

We will perform in big halls with a seating capacity from 5 000 to 10 000 spectators. This opportunity is a challenge.

We adjusted our costumes, music and choreography to the visual concept of a traditional circus. The show was opened by a lively and colourful parade, where a strongman, sad tightrope walker, happy juggler, oriental dancer, clowns and live statues were walking side by side. An image reminding of a bygone era stunned all the Eurovea’s visitors.

Visitors in the audience were holding their breath and closing their eyes, just to open them again and savour other breathtaking acts.

The acrobatic and dancing performances were scattered all over the shopping centre. Acrobats on silk, hand-to-hand acrobats, cyr wheel acrobat, trampoline jumpers, hand balancing acrobat, and dancers with fire, hoops and flags.
